INFINITE 2012 Calendar Package

Last week, I was chatting with my friends on an INSPIRIT Group on Facebook about this INFINITE 2012 Calendar Package, which was apparently sold out already. Only a handful were able to get their own. And then one of my INSPIRIT friends, Shen, said that she already received hers and shared some things about the calendar. Being a fan of INFINITE, I told myself that I have to get my own INFINITE calendar. Judging by the pictures online, the calendar, together with the other stuff, is really worth every cent. I looked for one on YesAsia but it's overpriced to the extent that I don't wanna buy it anymore. I lost all hopes.

Then, the next day, my friend, Joseph, an owner of a KPOP Store on Facebook (Seoul Searching Store), offered me an INFINITE Calendar Package for 1800Php only! He said he has one extra so I didn't think twice. I said yes, and I met up with him today at TriNoMa. And here's what I got.

(The box. It's so neat.)

The Calendar Package contains:

1 Poster (Portrait)
8 Photo cards (1 group photo, and 7 individual photos)
Stickers
1 2012 Diary
1 2012 Calendar

(These are the stickers.)

Overall, I proved myself right for thinking that this Calendar Package is worth every cent. I'm a proud INSPIRIT and I will never get tired of INFINITE. I believe that they are one of the most talented people on earth.

I'll Be There by Boyfriend Dance

Here's the video of our I'll Be There dance routine yesterday at the Acts Academy. Our instructor was kuya Vincent Mangubos, and honestly speaking, he's one of the reasons why I attended the class. I saw one of his videos on YouTube and his moves are really sharp and awesome! He reminds me of my friend back in Arellano University, kuya Carlo. Kuya Carlo was my crew's choreographer back then.

Also, another reason why I attended the class is I wanted to learn how to dance different types of dances. Last week was pretty girly. Now, it's kind of boyish. No, not kind of. REALLY boyish. I don't like Boyfriend, but the choreography in this song is really impressive. I like the sharp movements and ball changes.

So there. I might not be attending next week's session because for some reasons, U-Kiss doesn't interest me.

I dreamed about Myungsoo of INFINITE!

See this guy right here? If you haven't heard of him, you must be ignoring KPOP the whole time.

His name is Kim Myungsoo (김명수) and he's from my favorite Korean boy band, INFINITE. I had an epic dream about him last night. I don't know why. I wasn't even thinking about him before I slept. I was actually thinking of INFINITE as a whole.

In my dream, I was walking along a street and he happened to walk beside me. And then we started talking like we've known each other since birth. Yea, pretty weird. What's more weird is that he was speaking Filipino! Although in my dream, I wasn't surprised at all. So we talked and talked until I reached home. I invited him in. Usually, when you have visitors at home, they tend to sit awkwardly, talk awkwardly or even move awkwardly. But Myungsoo wasn't. He was all like, "I'm home" and strode upstairs. I was like, "What in the world.." And then I remembered my room was a huge mess. I ran upstairs, only to find him digging under my laundry, looking for his left sock, and he's already in PJs. He was like, "Have you seen my left sock? I put it here last night," pointing at my mountain of laundry. I wore a really shocked face, and said, "Last night?! I just met you today!" And he was like, "Don't be silly. Look for my sock or you die," and gave me a tap on the head as he left my room.

He went downstairs, and I came to my senses. Was that Myungsoo I met? Mother of God, I have to take a picture with him. I called from upstairs and said, "Can we take a picture later?" Myungsoo shouted back, "Okay. After you find my sock." And I woke up.

Guess what I did after waking up? I looked for a sock in the laundry. EPIC. But there wasn't any, which was really lame. If there was a sock in there, I could have gone crazy.

Bubble Pop by Hyun A Dance

Yesterday was the last day of the Bubble Pop schedule, taught by ate Tin Piczon. She said it was her first time teaching a KPop class, so she decided to film our last dance. Haha. I also took mine using my BlackBerry, and I really regret that I didn't bring my digi camera with me. :'(

So it was sort of a one-on-one class with her. Nobody else attended, which was okay to me because I had a chance to really concentrate on the moves. Otherwise, I would have been focusing on the others.

I was also intimidated on the first day of Bubble Pop, since I didn't know anyone, and they seemed like they know each other already. LAME. So I just stood there, forever awkward and alone. But when the class started, nobody cared about anybody. You dance real bad, nobody cares. You dance hella good, nobody cares. And I like it that way. Haha.

Next week, the schedule would be I'll Be There by Boyfriend, and I'm thinking twice. To attend? Or not to attend? That is the question.

My Acts Academy Class Card

So I attended my first KPOP Dance Class at the Acts Academy yesterday and look what I got. My class card.

I know. Sorry for my crappy hand writing. Blame the crappy pen.

So far, I've only attended the KPOP Class. I only have 11 more until I finish all my sessions.

Yesterday, we started on Bubble Pop by Hyun A, which is a very fun routine. I came 10 minutes early, and I thought I was the only one who enrolled for the KPop dance class. After 10 minutes or so, another student arrived, and another. Basically, there were only the three of us. I'm expecting four today since my friend from the Inspirit group on Facebook will be attending later. Finally, someone to talk to while on breaks.

And I also have to remind myself to bring a water bottle. I don't wanna buy a 15 peso bottled water again. It's not in the budget.

Dance Class at Acts Academy

One day I was casually surfing the net when I happened to google "Dance Classes in the Philippines". I haven't started college yet so I got nothing productive to do. Perhaps a dance class would be a good decision. I've been a KPOP fan for a while now and I'm really fond of the Korean Entertainments' system of producing idols. I like how they train people with potentials before they make them famous. I've also been looking for online auditions for some Korean entertainments but so far, I have no luck. So I decided to just, well, train myself, if no Korean Label can provide training for me.

So yeah, I googled "dance classes in the Philippines" and I got directed to a website with a list of dance studios offering classes in Metro Manila. I stumbled upon different kinds of dance classes like ballet, hip hop, jazz etc. But one studio caught my interest. The Acts Academy. They are offering KPOP and JPOP dance classes! And then I wondered, even the Korean Cultural Center offers one. But then again, the schedule at the KCC is not very convenient since it's in the evening. So I reconsidered the Acts Academy and e-mailed them for inquiries.

After a week, I personally went there, with my aunt and uncle, to enroll. And their studio was pretty neat.

I've never been to a dance studio but I can tell that this is not bad. I also watched a few videos on YouTube of some routines they do in the Academy, and the instructors are good!

Classes will start on the 14th of this month and the line up will be Bubble Pop by Hyun A, I'll Be There by Boyfriend and Tick Tack by U Kiss. I don't actually know the dance steps of these songs but I might as well YouTube them right now, so I won't look stupid on the first day of classes. Haha.

If you are interested, check out their website. :)
