Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant by Darren Shan

I just finished reading this book I bought some months ago for 60SR, which is like 700Php or 16USD. This book is actually a collection of the first three books of Cirque Du Freak which are A Living Nightmare, The Vampire's Assistant and the Tunnels of Blood. The book is 600 plus pages thick! And I was surprised I finished it in just a matter of 3 days. I was suppose to finish it at 2, but I was busy preparing for a vacation in the Philippines and some appointments.

Cirque Du Freak is WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Twilight. I've read Twilight halfway and got bored. All I've read was Bella's crave for Edward. NOTHING BUT ROMANCE. I know, I've read the wrong book. I tried reading it, I was curious why people loved Twilight so much. I'm not fond of romantic stories, actually.

But this book, tell you now, is very good. It hooked me up. Got me reading for the whole day. The chapters are making me want to read more. Almost every chapter is a cliffhanger, that's why.

I'm not really a vampire fan, but I really really liked the story. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

ON THE OTHER HAND, I watched the movie this morning and got really disappointed. The book is better, and the movie didn't even give justice to the book. The movie twisted the story, but I understand because it would be boring if they made it identical to the book. They said it was "Based" on the book, they meant they actually based it, not copied the entire story. Well, I know you get my point anyway.

Check out the trailer:

PS: I find Chris Massoglia, the one who played as Darren Shan, very hot. :">

PPS: I just thought I've never blogged about my Narnia obsession. LOL. Will blog about it later.

My Perfect World on Wattpad.com

I wasn't able to post another blog because I was busy writing my first story on Wattpad! Click on the photo above to read the story. :)

So let me tell you about my first story. It's about a girl who was born with a mutation called "Alexandria's Genesis" or in the myths, they were called the "Spirit People". They don't have facial hairs except for the eyebrows, eyelashes, nose hairs and the hairs on the head. They were called perfect. And the most noticeable feature they have is their violet eyes. Now, in my story, there's a husband and a wife who had a baby with this mutation. They tried their best to hide the secret because the last person who had this mutation existed centuries ago and that they are worried that their daughter will be the center of the news. They wanted her to have a normal life like the normal kids have. I have posted up until Chapter 6 and you guys better check it out! Vote or like or do whatever you want! If you promote it, I love you then! LOL.

If you have a Wattpad account, please be a fan and I'll fan back if your story is interesting!

Tamagoyaki or Japanese Omelet.

I cooked this omelet just this morning. I didn't know that there was something like "Japanese" omelet and the cooking style is actually different from what we are used to. Here's the Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soy sauce (but instead of soy sauce, I overlooked the recipe on the net and thought it was fish sauce lol, still tastes good though)
  • cooking oil

Procedure:

  • Mix all the ingredients in bowl.
  • Heat the pan (any cooking pan will do) and put a little amount of oil.
  • Pour at least 1/4 of the egg mixture in the pan and let it cook in Medium heat.
  • When it's cooked, start rolling.
  • Pour another quarter of the egg mixture when the first layer is done rolling.
  • Repeat the same process until you finish your mixture.
  • Let it cool for about 5 minutes then slice.
  • Serve.

It's so tasty. Unlike the ordinary omelet that we cook, this Japanese style omelet is very delicious and full of flavor since we added the sauces and sugar. I recommend you try it.

Here's a YouTube video of how to cook this omelet right.

Blackberry Curve 9300

So last night, my mom bought me a Blackberry Curve 9300, which is also my sisters unit. Pretty weird actually, living with my sister whose phone is the same as mine. LOL. Like it's really confusing.

We went to Zain in Sari, near Jarir Bookstore, and purchased this Curve and it comes with a Zain Sim Card, which I gave to my father since I already have my own Zain Sim Card and I'm using it for almost 3 years. We bought the BB for only SR1000, which is lower than it's price before. I think it was about SR1,300 some months ago. Here it is!

The box is pretty neat and I like it's simplicity. It comes with a manual, a charger with 2 kinds of adapters, some user tools, a warranty requisition card and earphones. Here are some other photos I took with my sister's Curve. (which is basically the same quality as mine)

Oh and you will notice in this last photo, I already put on some screen protector and a red casing, just to make it fancier. LOL.

    Dreamland Online: Getting addicted.

Currently getting addicted to this game! I just downloaded this MMORPG yesterday and it's just like Maplestory but of course a little bit different. This game is anime based and it's so cute. The quests are a little bit harder though. And confusing. I leveled up to level 12 for my first play.

Here are some screenshots of the game.

Not yet convinced? Well try watching the trailer. :>

I love it! So what do you think? Play now? HAHA. Click HERE to go the website. Oh and by the way, the game is free. Just register, download the game client, install the game and you can start playing. ;)

    50th Post! Tangled Review.

Have you seen this movie yet?

If no, well shame on you! This movie, entitled Tangled, is another version of the Old Classic story Rapunzel, but with a little twist. ;) As you can see in the poster, well I doubt that you don't actually see it, there's a LOT of hair in it. This movie is all about hairs anyway. No, just kidding. LOL. Okay so here's how the movie goes. There's a queen and a king. The Queen is pregnant but unfortunately, she was sick. Now, she needed the magical golden flower to cure whatever her disease is.

Now you see this flower right here? That's the golden flower. There's this woman called Mother Gothel, who is living in the Earth for hundreds of years already because of this flower. When she sings to it, she becomes young again. So that's how she lives her life. She goes there every time she feels and looks old. But then one day, the people working for the Queen and King found this golden flower, brought it to the castle, and gave it to the Queen. Then, she recovered from her sickness and gave birth to a beautiful blond baby girl. And little do you know that the King and Queen are not even blondes. Well technically it's because of the golden flower, you see.

Enough of it! I'm not risking spoiling the movie to you guys. Just watch it for yourself if ever you haven't seen it yet, and if you did watched it already, what do you think? Leave a tag. ;)

    PS: Here's a trailer ;)

    Michael Scott and his books.

I don't know if you have heard about him but he's a great author and I can say that for me, he's the next J.K. Rowling. Well, we all know that J.K. Rowling is currently the richest author in history because of the Harry Potter sequels. If you are a book lover and you love Harry Potter, you will definitely love Michael Scott's series of The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. It has 6 books(?) and I've already read the first 3. And while I was reading his books, I happen to tweet him about it. And I was really surprised that Mr. Scott had the time to reply to my tweet.

And while I was reading the Sorceress, my sister captured a photo of me and I decided to tweet it to him. This was what he said.

It was really awesome to have an author tweet you back. And not just any ordinary author, but a great author like Michael Scott.

Graduation. We will go the distance.

Should have blogged about this 3 days ago but here it is!

The Graduation Day of Durat Al Sharq International School, basically my school, was held in Al Waha, Elite Hotel last March 25. It was suppose to start at exactly 1:30pm but then, as we all know, most of the students are Filipino so yeah, it actually started at 3pm. Hooray for Filipino time. LOL.

When I came there at 2pm, the recognition for the other levels were still ongoing and the graduates were instructed to stay at the 2nd floor of the building. I climbed the stairs and was surprised to see that ALL of them were already wearing their Graduation Gowns and togas, while I stand there like "What the?", well I was wearing abaya and uniform. :)) I was a little out of place at first but then, I looked for a place to change and wear my very own gown and toga. So, this is what I looked like.

Yes, I know. This one's kinda looked like photoshopped but heyyy, I still look pretty. HAHA. I love the color of our gown. It's royal blue color made a huge difference. So after a while, one by one, my classmates came. We hugged and still denied the fact that it's already our graduation day. That's why we took an awful lot of photos!

This is my mom. I was the one who put make up on her. HAHA. And my dad, who marched with me up to the stage.

These are my 2 best friends, Vince and Gelic. They are actually couples so yeah, it's a great friendship.

Now, this is Hisham and Joshua. My former band mates. And closest to me.

This is me, Zaki and my sister. LOL. Zaki is a model here in Jeddah btw.

And yayyy! This is when I received my Diploma. Oh I love this pic.

And then we sang our graduation song and suddenly, we started to cry and felt so emotional.

    More photos here.

I will freaking miss everyone. :(

Blacklabel, the best band in Jeddah.

Introducing, Blacklabel! Well, basically, it's a very good band here in Saudi Arabia that was formed last December for the sake of joining the Battle of the Bands. This band, I tell you, is the most talented band I've been to. The members are Patrick for the rhythm, Fai for the lead, Zak for the bass, Ken for the drums (we had Hamzah as the former drummer) and Ella and Jerome for the vocals. Sometimes, I join them with their gigs as the vocalist. I sometimes wish I was their vocalist. Well, supposedly I SHOULD HAVE BEEN, but my parents refused. I would really love to be with them guys. *sigh*

Oh yeah, here is the poster of our past event in Reem Riviera last March 16.

And the ticket looks something like this:

I will update this blog if ever there will be any further events. :>
