I cooked this omelet just this morning. I didn't know that there was something like "Japanese" omelet and the cooking style is actually different from what we are used to. Here's the Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 5 eggs
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soy sauce (but instead of soy sauce, I overlooked the recipe on the net and thought it was fish sauce lol, still tastes good though)
- cooking oil
- Mix all the ingredients in bowl.
- Heat the pan (any cooking pan will do) and put a little amount of oil.
- Pour at least 1/4 of the egg mixture in the pan and let it cook in Medium heat.
- When it's cooked, start rolling.
- Pour another quarter of the egg mixture when the first layer is done rolling.
- Repeat the same process until you finish your mixture.
- Let it cool for about 5 minutes then slice.
- Serve.
It's so tasty. Unlike the ordinary omelet that we cook, this Japanese style omelet is very delicious and full of flavor since we added the sauces and sugar. I recommend you try it.
Here's a YouTube video of how to cook this omelet right.
